Lately

A lot has been going on Back at the Beck's for the past couple of weeks. Bill and Lou (Bryan's Aunt ant Uncle) came to visit from Nashville last week. We had a great time! We went to Six Flags and the Ft. Worth Stockyards. Here is a picture of the cattle drive. And here is a picture of Bryan getting a snow cone. It was so hot that day!
Also, I had a whirlwind trip to Houston this week. I was there for less than 24 hours, but it was still long enough to know that it is HOT in Houston in July! I presented at the state math teachers conference. The presentations went really well and I was a little sad that I couldn't stay for the whole conference. But, I had to get back for grad school.
Okay, I haven't been able to post for a couple of weeks, but here are some random thoughts I've been thinking:
1. The Hangover is hysterical. A little inappropriate, but hysterical.
2. I was so sad for Andy Roddick not winning Wimbledon. It was cool when Federer won the French, but I was a little disappointed in him when he already had a sweatshirt embroidered with XV for his 15th grand slam title before the match even started.
3. If you are not watching the Tour de France, you should be. Go Lance Armstrong! If not...go George Hincappie!

7th Months

Okay, it's been a while since I posted any pictures of Adi. She is 7 months old today so I thought I'd include a few pictures of what she's been up to this summer. She loves to "help" refill her waterbowl in the yard. She absolutely loves to drink out of the waterhose. In fact, she wags her tail impatiently and stares at the end of the waterhose while she waits for water to come out once you turn it on. She also likes to help Bryan grill outside. Who are we kidding...she likes to watch him in case he drops anything or so she can try to grab the plate if he turns his back for a second. Adi is also getting really good at catching June bugs. It's pretty funny to watch her "hunt". The other day one got in the house and I helped her see it so she could chase it and catch it. She also likes to chew on the egde of the rugs and even try to crawl under them...not so amusing. We're working on it.
